About me

Menno Jongerius

“I’ve come to know Menno as a qualified person and maybe even more important a nice person to work with. Menno knows how to convert our learning processes into working software where the customer comes first..”

What I do for a living
I’ve been writing software for as long as I can remember. And although IT wasn’t my first choice of education (I am a science teacher) I couldn’t help developing software.

In 1999 I started a software company together with a friend. We wrote administration software for beauticians, a windows program that’s still used by hundreds of beauticians today.

After working together for three years it became time for a new challenge and I started working as a freelance software developer. During that time I’ve created several web- and Windows applications for Dutch government agencies. It was also during this time that I got to know the company PAT.

As of 2005 I’ve started working for PAT Learning Solutions to supplement their existing services with technical e-learning solutions. Together with my colleagues I’ve created the PulseWeb e-learning environment. PAT gave me the opportunity to grow as a software engineer and architect. At present the PulseWeb environment is one of the pillars of the company serving almost 130.000 students in numerous countries. I’m enthousiastic about creating great software, using agile techniques like scrum and kanban. In 2011 PAT asked me to join the management team as technical officer. …see my linkedIN page (dutch) | showcases
